Na čtvrtou červnovou sobotu jsme měli naplánované závody v sousední Jihlávce. Místní SDH pořádá závody netradičně a na každý rok si připraví něco speciálního. Letos byl před základnou připraven volant, který musí 4x oběhnout strojník s narážečem a košařem. Pro útočníky byly zase připraveny sáně, na kterých si vezli hadice. Pro ještě větší netradičnost se startovalo z polohy vleže. Dopoledne 3 členové našeho týmu doplnili družstvo Horních Dubenek na okresní soutěži v Třešti, a tak společně s nimi přijeli do Jihlávky až v průběhu soutěže. První pokus jsme zaběhli slušně a s časem přesně 45 sekund jsme drželi 2.místo za Novou vsí. Druhým pokus se přičítal k prvnímu a jelikož jsme předvedli podobný čas (44,38s), ve výsledku jsme se posunuli na 1.místo. Měli jsme samozřejmě radost, neboť jsme vyhráli téměř po dvou letech. Třešničkou na dortu pak bylo finále o putovní pohár Škubánka, kam postoupily první 3 celky. Spolu s námi už klasické rozahzování bez netradičností předvedly týmy Nové Vsi a Panských Dubenek. Ale i tam jsme zvítězili a oslava tak byla dvojnásobná. Domů jsme si mimo jiné odvezli i dveře, na kterých byla sepsána výsledková listina. Na místní zábavě se skupinou Last Exit jsme tak konečně zapálili vítězné doutníky.
